please please help i have a friend with a ten year old golden retriver who has started eating everything including contents of astrays is she bored she is losing loads of hair does she need more brushing

Get your friend to take the dog to visit the vet.

It could be that she's bored, but unlikely if nothing else has changed - lack of walks or mental stimulation. Dogs are moulting at this time of year, so grooming every day is a must, but this symptom coupled with the appetite could indicate an illness which can be treated with medication.

Make an appointment tomorrow.
