I do not believe it!!!
My 10month old pointer has finally started to behave and be a good boy :D.
After the last couple months of tears and frustration, final warnings and free to a good home etc (despite obedience classes and lots of hard work and TLC!) Last month I was at my wits end and he was going - full stop, he ate shoes, carpets, cushions - you name he ate it despite having more kongs and toys etc than Pets at Home. He was also starting to become aggressive, although he has plenty of exercise off lead every day; more than most! I got a grip of myself after a few large glasses of wine - a girls got to do what a girls got to do ;) I changed his exercise patterns and instead of spending 1-2 hours off lead chasing bunnies, golfers etc he now spends one hour off lead daily playing frisbee, ball etc and one hour on lead walking to heel in parks, shops, woodland etc but taking notice - and usually when he gets home he is shattered!! Thanks to reading up in this forum I got all the answers as to where I was going wrong. So cheers :D :D.
p.s I bought him a cuddly toy - blackmail I know; but as a typical male he is easily bought

I would be prepared for a lapse in being a good boy ! They do tend to lead you into a false sense of security so be warned !! :D

Thats such good news, its a relief when you find out what buttons to push, and they let you push them.

Don't worry if you get a relapse, now you know what to do - change his routine and keep him active :)

Well done for all the hard work! It's paid off, and now you're all much happier - I couldn't be more delighted! Brilliant :D

That's marvellous to read about, I am sure we have all torn out hair out at times; I have a big hat to hide my bald patch (I'm joking, honest!!! )

As you have illustrated, sometimes a bit of a rethink can work wonders and I hope anyone who is feeling as if they are the only one having troubles with their dogs will read your post and feel heartened :) We all go through it, but yes, there IS light at the end of that long tunnel ;)
