I have a one year old golden retriever that is still quite nippy and often enough bites for attention.
She will bite your clothing or will air bite and often just attempts to bite for no aparent reason.
There is no growling associared with the biting and usually it seen it happen when she is excited or
wants your attention. I have taken her for obedience training and ahe does obey her sits and downs
however she does not do well wirh the stay command. Is this behavior due to boredom or maybe that she
needs to release energy. I have owned two previous goldens and neither of them were this way. Help

Difficult one to advise on without seeing her. I should think you'll have to be asked a lot of questions to give us a clearer picture - perhaps if you registered with the Forum (Mel - can you do the link?:)) we can help more. In the meantime, you say she may need to release energy - how much exercise is she getting? Have you tried "seeking" games to exercise her brain more? It sounds as if she may be very intelligent and need more to do. Don't forget she is still only a puppy.

Hope this helps.
