i took in a stray dog a few weeks ago,she looks about 1year-18 months old, she is a lovely dog but if i leave her alone(with my other dog) she chews everything in sight, including my blinds, shoes,towels, anything. I have bought her toys, chews, bones etc but nothing stops her. PLEASE can someone help

how long do you leave her for ?
Have you considered using a crate . If you dont like the idea of using one ( and i dont mean leaving her in it all day ) is there a room you could leave her in where she can do no damage ?
O how about trying a kong - she will probably be more occupied with that then boring furniture :)

My dog started to chew when bored and my trainer suggested 'cribox' which is used to stop horses chewing their stables. Worked like a dream. You can buy it from most stables.

I'm still waiting for the chewing phase to start with Gus but he hasnt nibbled anything ( except my favourite shoes) . But furniture wise nothing !! :)
He has full run of the through lounge and never touches anything - he is even getting his big teeth and he is still good.

I'm in agreement with Lel I too am waiting for this chewing phase to start apart from a slight chew of one corner of a wooden seated chair (that came with a new dinning suite) nothing and that is only one corner hardly noticable.

She's 19 weeks old on Monday and is starting to get her big teeth but still nothing.
But I suggest you try a kong fill it with goodies and confine her to one part of the room, you have no idea of her history before you got her so start from scratch.
