my bitch was mated although i did not have her scanned as from 3 weeks she looked pregnant and develloped a tummy.now shes late 66 days got milk but dosnt look pregnant just slighty fat.shes very active and not distressed in any way.this is not her first litter .should i take her to the vets?(she dosnt travel well) or keep waiting.

In my experience most bitches get over a phantom without any help, but would keep an eye on her till you are 70 days past mating date. Did she go through a " labour " ?

no labour,goes to bed only at night,hasnt been left alone.

Sounds like a phantom dont you think. Although saying that, a friend had a bitch very similar status delivered 1 puppy after she thought she was in the clear - in the pampas grass with all her other dogs looking on !!!!!!!

Sounds like a phantom but watch her like a hawk take her tempreture in case she has a sudden drop indicating labour is about to start.
Bitches will often go late if there is only one puppy and some breeds have longer gestational periods than others but only by a few days!
What breed is she?

yorkie,she was late last time but not by this much.

My bitch also didn't really show and went to 63 days which for the breed is unusual (normally 4/5 days early). She only had one though guess he had so much room in there he didn't want to come out.:D

took her to vets today definatley a phantom pregnancy.
