Has anyone used a Halti lead before?. Our lab is 21 weeks old and pulls on the lead when we go for a walk. We take him to puppy classes and when I asked the question there i got mixed views. Part of me feels that its the pupps nature and he will grow out of it but my biggest concern is knowing if i should stop him doing it now by using the halti or wait until he is older?. My wife is expecting our baby in 3 months time and I am concerned that if she takes him for a walk, he may be too much for her trying to pull all the time.

A Halti won't necessarily stop him pulling. They are very much a "last resort" when all else has failed.

But you are right to be concerned - he certainly won't grow out of it on his own. If you don't really get down to working on this he'll just become a bigger, stronger puller.

There have been many threads on here about pulling on the lead in the past - if you do a search I'm sure you'll find many good ideas there.

:)
