Trying to find if there is a UK breeder for the cross between cocker spaniels and poodles, please advise

I really hope not

Cross breeds fill the rescue centres already , because you are crossing two different breeds you cannot be sure what the outcome will be.

Sorry if that is a bit negative

Firstly I agree with Melody
Secondly why don't you just choose one or the other instead of encouraging such cross breeds

Mel,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we have a VERY large breeder of cockerXpoodles, yorkieXpoodles and westieXpoodles and they are not far from me! The thing that annoys me the most is she is an ex Vet nurse, and used to show and breed poodles her self, so should know better. She charges nearly £400 for her crosses and has a waiting list for each litter :(
As I've said before, money talks

How much??

Blimey, there's one born every minute! Most KC registered pedigree breeds don't cost that much!!

Julia - first - why do you want a cross breed rather than a pure bred Poddle or Cocker? They are very different dogs with their own special characteristics. I am not in favour of these designer dogs in any way - but understand if there are health reasons then that can be why people look for them rather than actually fully considering what the health reasons are and what pure-bred would therfore suit.

I saw a Cockerpoo recently and it looked awful - it really looked at odds with the world in that it was neither one thing, a cocker, or the other, a poodle. You have to understand what crossing these can give you it's not a dog that looks like a cocker with hair that doesn't come out. In this case - it was something that looked like a cocker and poodle had been put in a blender and all mixed up - a poodle with cocker colouring(blue roan) and an in between face and size and odd ears. Not nice.

If you have special needs because of allergies - then you need to fully ascertain just what the allergy is by having skin tests done. Many people think they are allergic to the hair when in fact it's the dander - the dead skin, which you get in all dogs.

People having these litters are not breeders in my opinion. They are either the result of a mismating or the person is trading on other people's gullibility. That’s my opinion anyway! The rescues are full of these crossbreeds.

Isn't a Cocker-poo something that should be cleared up before someone steps in it? :D

Sounds very much like it to me Jan! :p
