Hello

I am looking to buy a west highland terrier puppy, as a pet not to breed. Preferably a dog. I live in Manchester.
Can you advise me of where to buy one, please? If if anyone has puppies to sell.
I have previously had a bitch west highland terrier, who died when she was 18 years of age many years ago.
Thank you for your help.

If you contact the WHWT club of England I believe they have a breeders list, You can also go onto the Kennel club website and search for breeders by location.

Please be careful. KC lists are just lists of recently registered puppies and are not recommended in any way by the KC and its very likely to contain puppy farmers/commercial breeders.

Hi guest,

I should have put this cautionary comments on my post yesterday but was posting in a hurray, her is a copy of a post I made earlier.

>>>>>You could contact the Kennel club and ask for a puppy list, you can actually get it on line free now . You could contact the clubs such as the WHWT club which is in Scotland and also the WHWT of England. You could also contact some of the breeders listed in the breeders section on here but please be aware that because they are listed on here or any other sites does not mean they are good breeders nor does it mean they are bad, I am saying wherever you contact make sure you ask correct questions. See the bitch, KC registered, How old dog is, how many litters. Health checks and most important now is ask for a reference plus their vet. A good breeder will not object. If you have to walk away from a few breeders GOOD , you will be with you puppy when you get it for as long as 17 years so a little time and less urgency will be good for you and your decision.

If you like you can mail me and I can pass on some numbers of groups or people who may possibly have planned litters.
