
I can only tell you what was told to me by a very ancient family doctor , many moons ago ..he said:
Take plenty of excercise in the fresh air
Have a definite routine just before bed and make sure you stick to it every night (this includes ..letting dog out , calling them in , tidying kitchen , locking the doors , using bathroom , lying down and reading THEN lying down - lights off ready for sleep)
Have a warm milky drink before bedtime
No tea of coffee after 6pm
Eat your evening meal early
I stuck to it and , after having had insomnia for quite a while it took about 7 nights for the body clock to twig what was going on ...and now I sleep well
