I don't know of a breed rescue but Newcastle Cat & Dog Shelter on Claremont Road, Spital Tongues and Benton Farm Cat & Dog shelter (nr Findus/BT/Baliol Business park) will put your name on their list and contact you if a similar dog comes into their care.:)
