Hi
Our girl is on day 60 and has had temprature of 99 the last two times we have taken it. But she is shaking and her teeth keep chattering is this normal?? I am sure it is because of the drop in temprature but I just want to make sure. Her breathing is also becoming a bit heavier and she is off her food today, she won't even take one of her favourite chews.OH MY looks like I'm in for a long night she has just started panting. Gloves at the ready :D :D

Hi Kelly,
One of my bitches does this, 2 days prior to whelping, Whilst my other bitch, Shakes, digs, Pants for a couple of hours then gives birth.
I would advise an overdose of caffene, To keep you awake, As It sounds like you could be in for a long night.
Lucky you.

Hi All!!
She started having contractions at about 11am. I phoned the vets at 1pm and we took her at 2pm as she was in distress. The vet gave her an injection of ox???? When we arrived home and opened the boot there was a pup coming out backwards!! So first pup at 2.20 and then the second also backwards at 3.20. Mum is doing great and is looking after them well. A long way to go yet many more to come I'm sure!! I am a nervous wreck but wow what a great experience :D I will come back on tonight and update all of you wonderful champdoggers!!

I am a little worried as she will not stop tossing them and licking them Is this alright??

I used to worry about this too, it looks so rough! But I'm told they are quite rough to start with to get the pups' circulation going properly, and they're a bit unsure of them at first - as she gets more confident and feels less "hit-about" she'll be more relaxed with them. Just keep an eye on her, I'm sure everything will be fine! :)

Hi again !! We now have 9. One little lad won't suck and mum leaves him all the time. But he will be sharing my bed :D

If he isn't sucking within 12 hours, get some electrolytes down him with an eye dropped. Keep him warm, at least 70-75F, but be prepared that Mum may know best.
Good luck.

Hi All!!
Just to let you know that after a lot of kisses and cuddles for mum, the little lad is now feeding well!! We now have 11 pup's :D :D Will it ever end?? The last one arrived at 8.30 this morning. I have just changed all the bedding again and washed the floor. Mum is resting now but it looks like another one could be on the way. I need more coffee :D

Brilliant Kelly! Sometimes they need a little more time to recover from the epic journey that they've just made!

Terrific family, Kelly!
Give mum a drink, too - I expect she's thirsty! :)

Hi All,
Looks like she's finished at 11 pup's!! The vet came and checked her over and also gave her another injection to help clear the last placenta, it worked a treat. The pup's are all feeding well and making loads of noise!! Noo is a fantastic mum. I am sure I will be back with loads of questions over the next few weeks, so get prepared :D :D
Thanks for the support
Kelly & Noo Noo
