I am thinking of purchasing an English Mastiff as a pet for me and my family. I have three young children 2,4,6 and am a little concerned about the temperament of the Mastiff. Can anyone ease my concerns? Does anyone else out there have a mastiff and young children?
If my concerns are eased where can i look for a good pet quality dog/bitch?

HI Guest
Well i have a Neapolitan Mastiff, whom I rescued from a horrible man a couple of months ago(obviously different scenario to yours). I have two children 4 and 15months, so I had to be extremely careful as I didn't know this dog, however she is fantastic. The main concern really is the size of the dog, they are huge and can easily knock down little ones, accidentally of course.
You need to really think about owning such a large breed, and do lots of research.
