Is there anywhere on the internet which advertises forthcoming Exemption shows?
Charm

I find the best place for Info on Exemption Shows is found in your local paper OR in the Dog papers (Dog World and Our Dogs) . Sometimes local Vets have info as do the training clubs

Hi Tracey
No, it will be my first year upto Nottingham, as there has always been things stopping me in the past so I am really looking forward to it!! Just going to take my little one up with me as big one barks all the way to wherever we go. If you could give details about the other show that would be great. I take it that any sort of GSD will be able to take part.

Hi KRYS
The one at all whites 11th May is off the A453, I'm not very good at directions, basically if you come of the A453 and follow it to Clifton, you come to a big garage on the right, turn right just after that ( green lane) and follow the road and you come to it on the left, it's dead easy to find.Where are you coming from ?
All types of gsds are welcome, there's classes for standard, long and white coats. And of course all other breeds too.
The white and long coat club is a nice one too and caters for standard coats too, I go every year and catch up with people I only see at this show.My boy had BIS two years running, the first time he was only 6 months old, so the third year they asked me to judge it ..hmmm I wonder why. :D

Hi Tracey
That's good going BIS two years running. It's no wonder that you are doing the judging this year!!! I will be travelling up from Bristol, so as long as I know the major roads to take should get there ok. Thanks for all the information. I thought all the WALCSS shows catered for the standards. The rally that I am organising for July has standard classes in it, I just thought it was the done thing being my first year at doing it. Will you be able to get hold of a schedule for the All Whites Show? Would be interesting to see what classes there will be. My little man will be a week off of 6 months at the WALCSS show, so he will just have to go into Minor Puppy and the novelty. but being his first time at it I don't mind. I go for the enjoyment of the day and if we manage to get a rosette then even better!!!!

Hi Becky
I'll get a schedule and send it to you, if you let me know your address.
Yes the WALCCS always cater for the standard coats, good shows, good prizes, trophies and rossettes, makes for a nice day out, with no politics.

Hi Reefer and Krys
It's at the all whites football ground at Clifton Nottingham..there's a bar :D and soft refreshments, stalls, barbeque etc etc and lots of parking places.. there's usually a good turn out.
If you need directions e mail me and I'll send them to you. :)
Tracey
I've found 2 sites on the net for exemption shows but there isn't much on at the moment, maybe later on in the year when the weather is better. They are
http;//members.lycos.co.uk/exemptionshows/ and
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/exemptionshows/
hope these are helpful

Thanks Barbara, I have added them to my favourites, seems there is one coming up on 22nd March at Gloucester, it was being discussed by some members, I expect I will have to butt in and ask them where it is????

The People And Dogs Society are running three companion dog shows in June. The first is a two day event as part of a game fair at Nostell Priory, Wakefield on the 21st & 22 June 2003. We are also running a companion dog show on the 29th June 2003 as part of the Horbury Gala in Wakefield.
All the shows were well attended last year and the prizes are even better this year.
