Well Zoey would be in her 9th week right now, but I took her to the vet sat becuase she was acting a little funny. The vet told me he didnt see anything on X-ray meaning NO more puppies. :0( I do have another question for you guys......a lady I know said she was going to breed her small dog to a dog that is almost 2 times the size of her dog. WONT THAT KILL THE DOG WHEN THE PUPPIES ARE BORN??? She has no idea what she is doing other than she wants puppies. I told her about my story and that zoey lost the babies but she didn't care. I have been looking online for info on this and can't find anything. I want it on paper to show her she could KILL her dog just to have puppies.

i know someone with a very small bitch , she used a good sized male and the bitch had her litter like shelling peas, !!!!!!!
i too had a very small bitch, she was gorgeous, but decided not to breed from her , as to try and improve on size id of wanted to use a big male, and was worried shed cope, so she was speyed,
so in answer to your question i think it could go either way, and the bitch that had her litter very easily, has now had another, again, no probs,

I did not know that. I still think she is doing the wrong thing. Her dog is a mut and she just wants puppies. I think if people are that *Stupid* they shouldnt have a dog anyways. If you want a puppy go save one from a shelter. there are to many unwanted dog out there now. Breeders should be the only people breeding dogs. ANYWAYS :0) thanks for the info.

Tell me bout it :P I have a Maltese x CKCS and got quite a few comments including one friend wanted her to mate with their Maltese x Poodle.

"Ohhhh we could have puuuuuppies! They'll be so cuuuuute!"
"Mate her, mate her."
"Why not? Then you'll have more and you can sell em and make money."

Yeach. She was only about 4 months old at the time, and a cross breed at that.

Note: Yes, she has been sterilised :)
