Hi Briedog.
I hope Rush pulls through for you.
Saying you haven't got a Flatcoat past 8, I believe the breed is suffering terrible problems now, i.e bone tumours, auto immune disease and other cancers, what a terrible shame, a lovely breed.
Dawn.

Thinking of you Terri. You are better getting away and having something else to think about for a little while.
Dawn, for some reason Flatcoats seen to either be quite short lived or go on to a ripe old age. A friends oldie was nearly 17 when it went. There seem to be almost nothing in between these extremes!

Hi Terri,
Glad to hear Rush is home again. Things do not seem have gone right for you for ages, so fingers crossed that from now on everything goes better.
Hi Dawn,
I have been told that as far as cancers etc go in our breed, there is an AHT paper stating that we are no more or less affected than any other breed currently, perhaps we are too good at believing the worst ll the time. Other than two who have died in accidents all my flatcoats have lived to 15 plus years and as John points out one to nearly 17 years.
