I guess you're looking for a crossbreed? Try a rescue centre, or have you considered a pure breed? They're much more accessible.

Is that a peke - poodle cross?

I thought this was some kind of a tool to pick up poo with! It's not seriously a breed of dog is it??!!

It's a Pekingese x poodle - quite common in the states apparently !

Hi There!!! I'm sorry to see you have been getting so much grief for your question. I am very familiar with PekaPoos. I breed and raise them.Perhaps, people should do some research before they are so critical. You can find information about PekaPoos on the net everywhere. All of mine are 3+ generations and CKC Registered. Anyone wanting more information can go to www.ckcusa.com and look under "The Uniqueness of CKC as an Open Registry" it reads that PekaPoos are stronger, healthier, less susceptible to diseases and they raise more puppies per litter. PekaPoos are very popular in the US. They go for any where between $300 and up even to $1,000. So please everyone......give them a chance. Every dog started out new somewhere and if you trace their history, they are all cross breeds.

Thanks,

I've looked at your website and your dogs are very cute. Our dog rescues are full of dogs that look just like that! Some long coated, some smooth coated, some undershot, some with a correct bite. Some a bit like a poor quality peke, some more like a poodle if you half close your eyes, but all lovely in their own way.
I've also looked at the Continental Kennel Club. Please don't infer to people who don't know any differently that it in any way equates to the British or American Kennel Clubs. It is similar to our Dog Lovers Club but this one also encourages cross breeding "for their uniqueness"!
I hope that anyone who is looking for a puppy will take a look too and see the difference between a pedigree dog and a cross breed. Your post has done a lot for promoting well bred pedigree pups.

I don't know which dogs rescues you go to Val but none of the ones I've visited have dogs like this in, they are probably rehomed very quickly if they are. The resuces seem to be full of greyhounds, lurchers, black mongrels types, lab crosses, collie crosses, gsd crosses but nothing like that.
I don't agree with the way bulldogs are bred but I wouldn't condemn anyone for wanting one.

It just goes to prove that with a crossbreed you have no idea how it's going to turn out. It's complete pot luck which genes it will inherit from which parent - whether it's looks, shape, colour or temperament. I never got anything decent in a lucky-dip. :(

Don't alarm bells ring when one of the reasons for breeding them is that they 'raise more pups per litter' ?
