can anbody tell me if a mars coat comb will be suitable for my scottish terrier (not for showing) and what size to use?

Hi,
I have Scotties and use a coat king on them. I am afraid a friend sent it over from the States and it hasn't got a size any where on it, but the teeth things are 3mm apart (don't know if that helps).
He is a very long standing breeder and successful in the show ring, and he uses them, which is why he sent it me. I find it does my babies a treat.
