ver I am now convinced that she just dosn't like it. She is never fed from the table and the only food treats she gets are when I have to leave her alone for 4 hours while I am out at work. She is left with a kong stuffed with soft cheese. a gravy bone in a kong goodie ship, a markie pushed into another toy. She eats all of these things and is not fed again until 6pm or later. Sometimes she can go for 2-3 days without eating her dry food ( I have tried several different varietys). I am wondering whether to try her on a moist food such as Frolic or HiLife. I would be grateful for any advice offered.

I wonder if the treats in her Kong have filled her up, so she's simply not hungry any more? She's only a little dog, so won't need a vast amount of food. Cream cheese is very high calorie.

I look after a friends Yorkie when they go away, and she only has the very bottom of a Kellogs cereal bowl covered with food.

It is very easy to overestimate how much they need, they eat a lot less for their size than a cat.

My 20kg dogs only eat about the same as my Dads cat, and that is 6 ounces of a high quality complete food. At times when I have had to put one on a diet then they only had 4 ounces.

I would estimate that the Yorkie got less than 2 ounces, but she was older. The amount of treats she has would probalby equall half her food, and you should aim not to give her so many as they are not properly balanced.
