i have not shown GSD's for a while and now returning to it i am finding it hard to know what shows to enter.my bitch is classed as middle of the road type and i know longer know what judge likes what type.i have just moved to cambrigde area so do not know the GSD people or clubs in this area.any ideas welcome

If you did not breed your bitch why don't you call her breeder and ask her/him for help?

Or, if you know the kennel names/owners/breeders of GSDs of the same type, you can check the placing at championship shows - there are some sources on the Web but I do not have the link.

Apart from that I would try to find the GSD closest to you and ask for advice.

Hi Vicki,

Try & get to a local GSD training club (contacts can be found on the KC web site) & ask the opinion of the trainer & the other GSD folk on your bitch.

Sometimes, if I don't know what type a particular judge prefers I refer to the KC's BRS & try & see which stud dogs the judge has used. This may not always work, but it is one option to consider.

It may be just a case of visiting a few shows (with or without dogs) to get the feel of things again & chat to some people about your bitch.
