Hi Guys :)

Just reading the post about bitches fighting and it shocked me, I had no idea that pups could "disolve" in side mom from such a thing  what would the extent of fighting be for them to do this? would it be a great fight or just a little tiff? also when humans are pregnant they say that the first 3 months are the most dangerous, what are the most dangerous times for dogs (first 3 weeks, last 5 weeks etc etc)

Can a dog have a miscarriage when in whelp, or are pups just soaked up into mom

Hi Dogs
Females can re absorb pups for no particular reason, so even a little tiff with another dog can cause it, much more likely in a big fight but it can happen at the slightest thing. They can also miscarry the pups at a later stage just like humans. They can re absorb the pups between 1 to 6 weeks, but can lose them at any age.
These are some of the things we all worry about when breeding

Not necessarily Dogs, sometimes you only know about it if no pups are produced when they have been seen for certain on a scan (or fewer than were seen).

HI dogs
No , when they re absorb there's usually no signs at all, just no pups. no bleeding no discharge..nothing at all. Obviously if the abort then it's different as they are expelled externally.
