just wonderd if any one else has tried this? i was making a cold bevvie last night 4 myself and as i did i dropped an ice cube by accident in my labs water bowl, he is 15 weeks so his new teeth are coming through and been having a lot of whining al day becaus of it. he grabed the ice cube out of bowl ran round 4 a second confussed thn sat and crunched it up i gave him another and he loved it must be good on his sore gums i guess?

My dogs scrunch the ice on puddles in the winter - and they
love it when I defrost the freezer!

Hudson LOVES icecubes ...he will happily sit and crunch them all day given half a chance :)

Jay loves ice cubes but he has a nasty habit of lying upside down with his legs in the air when chewing anything so I have to really watch him!! :D

We have a fridge with an ice dispenser (posh aren't we) and we can't use it without Dillon appearing as if by magic and demanding his ice cube! He can hear it from the far end of the garden!:)

Fry my lab also comes running when she hears the dishwasher - however she is that smart she knows if it is being emptied not to bother as everything is clean. If it is being loaded she is almost trying to climb in :)

Oh what a good idea, thanks :-)
Our little one is teething at the moment, and we have been giving
him chilled carrot, but the ice cube is a fab idea.

I read somewhere about putting ice cubes in the dogs' water in the summer to keep it cool, but the ice is never there long enough!:D

My vet once told me that it's good to give a puppy ice cubes because it numbs their gums therefore making teething a little less sore.

When my dogs hear the freezer they all come running. They just love them. I give them icecubes as treats :). It's cheaper and they won't gain weight on it either :D They get other treats during nailclipping and training ect, but icecubes all the time :D they just love it
ttfn :)

I tried Darcy with ice cubes last night and they were a huge hit.
Am going out to get some more trays today as they will make a fantastic low fat treat.
She's such a little gannet she always wants to eat so these should work a treat

We gave our b/c puppy ice cubes and we also put weak gravy into his kong and froze it to help him out when he was teething. And a little bit of ice-cream (well he is my baby) :D

oh glad someone else admitted it before me. I give Darcy a tiny spoonful in her bowl when we have some. She loves it.
My parents dog knows the sound of the ice cream van and he runs out to wait. The ice cream man loves him and always stops. Ranger puts his paws on the ledge and the ice cream man always gives him his own little cone.

If he's teething try putting one of those rope toys in water and then in the freezer.I find it makes a wonderful 'teething ring' for pups
