If you watched it, when, if at all, did you lose it and what caused that?   For me it was the sight of Emma, the late Queen's Fell pony standing with her groom just outside Windsor Castle.  And then her two remaining Corgis.   gather the Dorgi died soon after the Queen arrived in Balmoral this summer  - at 18 years.   I was the same during Prince Philip's funeral - his driving ponies and carriage got to me.   In fact I was more moved during his funeral than today but I think that was more about how lost and alone the Queen looked that day.

It was tearing to see the crown, orb and septre taken off the coffin and placed on the alter.

I found it all very moving.  I was in London yesterday but couldn't face the crowds for today (or the queues for the lying in state).  It's been an extremely long day for the Royal family, especially for William and Kate's young children who behaved impeccably.

Lots of things set me off. Apparently lying on Emma’s saddle was the queens headscarf that she wore when riding her.
The lone piper and how the music gently faded away as he walked slowly from the church.
When the crown, orb and sceptre were taken off the coffin and King Charles laid her Guards flag on the coffin, his sad face was heartbreaking.
George and Charlottes behaviour was impeccable, well done to them, it must have been a sad time for them both.

The whole day was simply wonderful, nothing went wrong. I’ll never forget it

I am not sure what the next 7 days brings for the family.  Am hoping it means they ar le able to put aside all
Royal duties and have tine just for them selves . 7 days isn't much but they need time to recharge and some grieving

Thank goodness I didn't notice that - usually it's reversed riding boots with a rider who has passed.  I never really understood why HM didn't wear a proper riding hat but I suppose she never did so that continued throughout her life.

Well done indeed to young George and his sister.  I hope they can all have some time out now - they must all be exhausted.
