I think the ruling is that the exact circumstances for the endorsements to be lifted has to be signed at point of sale and agreed, so that the seller can prove that the buyer knew at that time the exact conditions they would be lifted under.

If the buyer fulfils those conditions, the endorsements should be lifted - you can prove what the conditions were (as you should have a signed copy of the contract?) and you can prove you've met them.

The breeder of my papillon boy didn’t endorse him for breeding, she says she doesn’t do it because it doesn’t stop people. If they want to breed, they breed.

I do think it makes sense, if people do it anyway at least you’re keeping the gene pool a bit more open and not essentially losing individuals because they can’t produce registrable pups.

Not that he’s ever going to be used because of his luxating patellas, shame really because he would be a great dog to use to add bone to some of those lines that seem so fine they’d break if you looked at them too hard. Oh well!

He is endorsed for export though.

I always fully endorsed all my puppies to protect them.

But I also listed them requirements to remove them I endorsed the whole litter even the ones I kept.

It was listed in the contract they where fully endorsed what it meant and the requirements they needed to meet to remove them and they signed alone with me stating they understood them.

Nothing really serious basically making sure the fully mature dog was of good enough quality to be breed from and all heath tests passed
