Any guidance please on what to discount  for a pup that is now seven months - family can’t cope and I have - (as a one  off family  breeder) - found a wonderful new home - the pup is perfect no issues etc  - what do you suggest  as guide to the amount of discount  that the new  owners get? (I am obviously not taking anything myself  and my job is to ensure the match is perfect and then I will redo the contract). Thank you.

This is a difficult one because at 7 months, I see this as an older puppy who 'shouldn't cost as much as an 8 - 10 week puppy might.  However, looking on THAT website, I'm seeing people advertising mistake puppies at the price they obviously paid at 8 - 10 weeks.   Whether or not they get that I have no idea of course.   For me, it's all about a good permanent loving home.  But that's not how others see this.

The bottom line I suppose is as long as all parties are happy and it is going to be a good home, then the money isn't the main factor?  Especially as, if I understand it right, the current owners didn't pay anything/much for the puppy?

I thought current owners paid full price and are returning puppy but not any money ?
If that is the situation would it be unreasonable to let the new home have the pup for nothing or a small token  amount  ?
u wont financially be out of pocket and pup is safe in a new home.
I assume the contract will include endorsements for no breeding and return to you if things don't work out?
There is respect for.the current owner that they have come back to you and admitted they can't cope .many don't and it all goes very wrong
