Does anybody have a grooming dremel they no longer use? As Teazel will be 14 this year and I don't know whether once she's gone, we will have another dog at all, I don't want to pay for a new Dremel so does anybody have a used but in good condition one, I could buy?
I've always been a bit scared of Dremel type things. Not that I'm scared of cutting nails or claws I did my dogs and do my cats and my friend's as well but always with clippers
Never got up the courage to do the rats!!! Much too easy to remove a toe

I find it much easier to use and much safer than clippers, particularly with dark or long nails. I have a new puppy that I'm trying to get used to the dremel, I gave up and clipped a coup[le of her nails but she was squirming so much that I nipped the quick, you can't do that with the dremel.
All these years with having no trouble dealing with my Basset nails, other than the first one who I was learning on, with everything, and finally I look at buying/using a dremel!! Clearly it's never too late to try something new!!
Can somebody give me instructions re how to use the dremel I've just bought please. Do I hold the top of the grinder to the nail, or the side. The instructions coming with this dremel (a Pecute grinder) don't show where to hold the dremel to the nail. Thanks.
