
I sometimes do transcription/close captioning work for
rev.com I like them because you can choose/refuse any job, take it, start working on it then unclaim it if it's too difficult. They pay weekly into paypal. It's really interesting work too. A lot of American police body cams required for court cases etc. Lots of lectures, some interesting, most not, but my favourite end client is the BBC. I've done subtitling for Taggart episodes, The Brittas Empire and lots of other things.
On the down side the entry process can be gruelling, they grade all work and some graders are ruthless, you have to keep your stats up and they pay peanuts, but the faster and more experienced you get the better the rate.
