Hi,

Jay spends his days with a 5 year old Lab (Bruno) who has not been castrated. Since Jay has had the snip, Bruno will not stop sniffing/ licking him around the 'affected' area. Jay will not tell him to get off and they just walk around the house all day - Jay trying to get away from Bruno and Bruno following, until Jay resorts to hiding behind the sofa :(
Could this be a result of Jay being snipped and Bruno not, or should I be looking for some other reason?

Thanks
Nicola and Jay

My understanding is that a neutered dog smells more like a female dog and so is attractive to an entire dog. I know several entire dogs that try to mate neutered dogs :D

Also, I was just reading the '2 dogs fighting' thread - do you think that Jay and Bruno are just re-establishing the pecking order?

Doesn't seem to affect every dog though. One friend's 14 year old GSD/Lab was always being 'humped' by another friend's JR :) (Always did it when he was lying down :) ) But this JR never tries to hump my neutered dog.
