Down here in the red area (!) we were up early so we could get Teazel out (back garden only) to do her biz before things got manic.  We have put EVERYTHING from the garden into the garage!

So far our small apple tree seems ok, but any or all of the fencing could let go at any time.  TV reception is being affected but our satilite dish is shot (they all rust here on the coast).  Sky won't replace it until it gives up entirely, at which point presumably we'll have to do without TV until they get here.

Be safe.

Nothing happening here yet. One big gust at 7.30 but that’s it so far!

I hope you stay safe and come through unscathed. Wind is so scary, I think because it’s so random in its effects.
Am supposed to be going to a show tomorrow, depends on snow and whether the venue still has a roof I suppose!!

Edited to add, OH has just spoken to friend in Dorset. Friend has just been along seafront and it’s horrendous. But there are idiots out taking selfies with dogs that look terrified. Why are some people so stupid?

I guess they are still young enough to think they are immortal!  Lots of neighbours were out with their dogs before it got REALLY bad here - thankfully Teazel will only empty in the back garden, so her walking can wait.  The rocking fence between us and a neighbour on one side has been flattened now, unsurprisingly.  I'm watching the back fence which has a badly rotten upright and is now swaying.  Our local fencing company must be dancing for joy with all the upcoming work!!  I'm not going anywhere near the front - the noise alone is frightening.  And then there's the Spring tides

Again stay safe.

Very windy here on the Cotswolds although not quite as bad as feared it was going to be. Was going to the hospital today for a checkup appointment but decided to cancel. Most of the roads to the hospital appeared to be closed

Not good here on the edge of south London/ Surrey.  Tiles falling off rooves and having stepped into the garden nearly lost the door as it was ripped out of my hand . Trees pretty bendy so worried some might come down brooke is not having a walk today

I don’t know if you are on Facebook, mamabas, but there is a bit of video of a huge gum tree falling in Bude. Apparently it’s by a cafe and people used to sit on seats under it with their ice creams

Not been good here either. The tree I thought would go is still standing, 1 tree split in 2 and half went down narrowly missing the house, taking part of the fencing with it. The rest cracked and is hanging on by a thread, I need it to drop so its safe for the dogs to go into the main garden. I've fixed the fence so it's safe for now but can't risk the dogs going into the main garden in case it does drop and fall on them. So they have the tiny back garden area to do their business. No walks today and didn't work either, too dangerous to risk it

Jodi I don't do facebook and haven't heard about that tree coming down but I'm not surprised.   We've just put some rubbish out in the recycling (bags in the garage - collection tomorrow) and it's still blowing quite hard out there.  Our Sky dish is going to be dealt with tomorrow - Sky have finally agreed to come out to do something about it.  The only channel that's half working at the moment (still) is 101.  The rest is hopeless and I've not been able to watch racing (415) as that's gone totally.   Teazel didn't have her walk today but I don't think she's too upset about that.  She's done all her biz outside - I now have to watch she doesn't decide to migrate into next door's garden with their fence down.

I hope you all manage to clear up the mess after this one....................

Again stay safe.

Edit - I just looked online (U-tube) and saw a vid of the tree which is in a small park right in the centre of Bude town, opposite Barclays Bank, coming down.  They used to put big Christmas decorations on it.   That's going to make a huge gap.  It's not especially exposed there either.  There's a big apartment building right on the downs overlooking the sea - I'd NOT want to have been in there today.

Northumberland coast here.

We are living on a building site with a huge crane looming over us. Builders have secured everything as well as possible but it is still scary. We haven't got a garden at the moment -well not one that the dogs can use as it has just been turfed. But Paddy won't poo anywhere except in discreet bushes, of which we have none. So ventured out with the dogs but the wind has got stronger this evening and it's so cold and wet. Worried about son in Wales and another son driving home along busy roads in East Sussex after work. Won't sleep until I know they are safe.

Derbyshire here. It’s very windy and rainy so River’s getting short toilet trips outside and no walks. Not worth the risk even though it doesn’t seem super bad or anything.

Our agility class in the morning has understandably been cancelled, the field is far too muddy and slippery so it’s not safe for the dogs, or the humans moving heavy equipment.
