How can I wash my vet bedding???I have searched the boards and found a lot of answers but not as to whether I can pop it in the washing machine or not?!!!

Any help please!!

I wash mine on a 40C acrylic type wash.

PS - If you've got a hairy dog don't forget to run an empty boil wash afterwards to get rid of the dog hairs in the machine. I forgot once and ended up with lovely black hairy underwear :D :D :D

washed and dried perfectly & back in his bed!!
Now for the machine inspection!!! definitely dont fancy the hairy underwear !

It is washable (if you can fit it in your machine)...just don't put any softner in as it's supposed to affect the waterproofing? :)

LOL at your "black hairy underwear"!! I also have to check the filter thingy to make sure it isn't bunged up with hair - or my machine would still produce hairy underwear.

Average machine will take a whole 60 x 40 ionch piece. I wash mine at 40 degrees, as it doesn't felt as much, just goes dort of like a lambs fleece.

My friend does hers at 60 degrees, but has to replace it more often as it then gets very flat. You are probably better to wash more often, but at lowere temperature.

I give vetbed a vacuum with the Dyson, to reduce the amount of hair contained in it, before putting it in the machine at 40C. :D

Hi yes I put mine in the machine on a 40,I have 2 pieces so that when one is drying you can pop the other back in the bed
