Has anyone travelled in Europe since needing the animal health certificate, particularly with multiple dogs? I had assumed it was one certificate per animal (at a cost of £180) but having seen the certificate now I see it has space for up to 5 animals on it? So, can I have 5 dogs on the one certificate?

Also the certificate asks for the date of blood test, but no mention of the blood test on the defra page for travelling? Do we need a rabies titre or not?

For anyone curious, here's an example of the AHC   THis is the english/dutch one, you must get one in the language of the country you enter the EU in, not your final destination.

Yes you can have 5 animals on one certificate and you don’t need a rabies titre. It’s always been up to 5 animals. Are you on Facebook? If so there’s a great group called Animal Health Certificate that’s really helpful. There will be a charge for each extra animal on the certificate btw. Abbeywell vets are very popular for it and I believe they charge £97 for the first pet and £50 for each additional pet. Or something like that!

All the dogs go on the same certificate (up to 5).

No rabies titre needed, same regulations as Pet Passport for rabies - given within 3 years, no titre.

Great, thanks both, looks like we can go to the ball afterall

I usually use Harwich/Hook crossing, coming from Edinburgh that's better for me (the Newcastle or Hull crossings are too long for the dogs I feel) so the Folkstone Vets wouldn't do, I'll just get them done at my vets before I leave and then wormed by the show vet like we used to do with PP.
