
To those with dogs who eat grass - be VERY careful they are not at the grass that's seeding. We had a boy who got into that, but neither we, nor vet, could understand what what was going on until eventually the grass seed he'd ingested tracked from the back of his mouth to just under his ear where it finally pointed and was able to be lanced. Around 2 inches of grass stalk appeared and was taken out.
Meantime, his head had swollen to the size of a football which my vet had NO idea about and put him onto a huge dose of steroids. He was sticking his head into the bushes outside and quite honestly I thought we were going to lose him.
If mine tug at grass I'm darned careful it's not the seed spikes.
As for herbs, at one point I used to finely chop parsley and add it to their food which they seemed to like.
