Nothing related to me or my dog but in another thread about breeders rights Goldmali had said once puppy is sold breeder has no rights despite whats written on contract. I read a lot about in US that many breeders put into the contract that pups have to be neutered by the age of one or two. So this got me thinking could the breeders actually do anything if the owners didnt neuter ? As I said just a thought nothing applicable to me

Many times, this clause means there will be a monetary refund once a certificate of neutering is able to be shown to the breeder, for proof the pup had been neutered.

Just to add, we had to rescue an older puppy I'd sold into what I thought was a good home.  I later heard from the owner who phoned me, that the poor girl was being traumatised by a returning squadie who was kicking a football at her (as well as to their Boxer).  I suggested we went and got her out of there - she agreed but there had been no contractual clause about lthis - just that we would take any puppy back for whatever reason, and at what ever age.

Don't know the legality in the US, but in the UK sadly dogs are considered legally to be property & as such once sold, the seller has no further rights over the dog, no matter who draws up a contract be it a solicitor or the previous owner. You cannot put covenants on dogs, horses etc the way you can a property.

A lot of US breeders neuter their pups before selling them(this is where prepubescent neutering came from), taking no notice of the side effects of their actions

"Many times, this clause means there will be a monetary refund".   I should have said - it's not a full refund.

I remember years ago one breeder of GSD had a perk of when the puppy had passed bronze obedience she would give back a sum of money. I thought that was a great idea
