There was 2,269 puppies registered that year for the breed, so with just the date you will likely need someone who had the breed record supplements for the working group for that year to find the litters born that day. Unless you know anything about the kc name. If not the breed club might be a good place to ask.

That's assuming that he was even registered.

Do you know the registered name of either parent.

Hi sorry I don't know either name of her parents! Do you think it's a good idea to try ringing the rescue centre were I got her from?

The figures are on the Kennel Club website.

Rescues generally withhold any information about the ancestry of the dogs they rehome to prevent the information potentially being misused.

a lot more puppies are born then are registered. puppy farms, back yard breeders etc often don't register the puppies.
I really do not think you will be able to trace your dogs ancestry.  Just enjoy her for what she is

We have the Breed Record Supplements for the Working group so I've looked for litters for that date in the Autumn and Winter 2014 editions. No luck I'm afraid. I even looked in the Spring 2015 copy and there isn't a litter for that date in there either.

Dogues have been very popular in recent years and I know there's a huge number of unregistered puppies out there. So I'm guessing you will never know about her pedigree.

Well done for rescuing her, I hope she keeps you company for a good few more years.
