Can anyone please point me in the right direction to purchase Frontline Spray where a prescription is not required.
I remember a while ago that a prescription was no longer required for this product, but online sites are still asking for prescriptions.

Please be very careful with Frontline (or any of the other flea/tick treatments) especially if you have a herding breed. There can be some very severe side affects. Has your dog got fleas or is this a preventative?

Does Front line contain any of these:

Selamectin
Milbemycin
Moxidectin
Loperamide
Acepromazine
Butorphanol
Vincristine
Vinblastine
Doxorubicin
Paclitaxel
Apomorphine
Cyclosporin
Digoxin
Doxycycline
Morphine
Buprenorphine
Fentanyl

These are the drugs that the MDR1 mutation causes reaction to.

I don't use spot ons on any of my dogs

Frontline is Fiprinol but has been the cause of seizures in dogs with or without the MDR1 gene

http://www.vetuk.co.uk for one, you will just need to fill in a form and tell them what you are going to use it for. Can be sold without prescription but only by a vet, pharmacist or other qualified person.

I bought mine from vetuk recently.  Just had to register a pet for it.

Same here.

Frontline is ok for MDR1 affected, but Frontline Plus is NOT. I can say this for sure because we have had to use it on our MDR1 affected dog. We now use natural preventatives to keep on top of things now as really dislike giving any medication or preventatives to her if it can at all be avoided, in my experience even the MDR1 safe drugs can still be over effective or cause milder side affects.

And I can recommend Animed as a good online supplier for non prescription drugs, or prescription drugs too if your vet is willing to let you buy them yourself.

Frontline can have serious affects on dog/breeds that don't have the MDR1 Gene, I'm just suggesting she does her research before using any chemicals and try and keep them to a minimum as the side effects can be cumulative if given regularly
