Hi,
I have a 15 month old bitch who going thru her first season,, not my first bitch, but goodness this one is constantly harassing my 6year old spayed lab, we tried separating them but just leads to barking, howling etc,
We don’t like telling her off but we don’t want it to escalate into any aggression or anything, my older bitch is trying to keep her clean wen her face is reversed into constantly, I tried calming products that are having no effect,
Just wondered if anyone come across this before
Thanks

A friends bitch is like this, they had to separate them using a pen as the bitch started with flirting then she started mounting the other girls the other girls which lead to arguments when the others had had enough.

I never had this problem because when our bitches were in season, they were moved away from the rest of our small pack for the entire length of their seasons.   I never had more than one in at the same time (odd really because they can and often do, bring each other in).   But then again once my girls reached around 7, and the end of their show/breeding career (other than the occasional outing in Veterans classes at the Club shows), they were spayed to minimise angst amongst the males.

If this is going on, apart from making the decision to spay, I'd separate them before one of them gets teed off and a fight starts and we all know that once bitches take against each other, there is often no way back.
