My Toy is 9 and I’d like to get a puppy before we both get too old for it ! But I stress that I’m not in a rush.
I approached my girl’s breeder, as that’s what I’d have liked to do, but there seems to be no chance there so I’m starting all over again.
So two questions, I’d prefer another bitch as I’ve always had them. How do you all feel about two together, and holidaying with another bitch ?
And is the only health test DNA for PRA ? I knew this information off by heart 10 years ago when last looking.

KC website says eye screening and dna test for PRA. Try the toy poodle breed clubs for more health testing advice and also they may know of a litter or plans for breeding.

I have three bitches (and one dog) living together and never had a problem with them. Different breed but no issues.

I’ve had two bitches who happily lived together with no problems. They sorted out between them very early on who was in charge of what - Tora was food monitor and Jodi was in the lead for everything else. So long as both stuck to those rules (they did) then everything was fine. The food issue was sorted out very early in their relationship. 8 week old Jodi stuck her head in 15 month old Tora’s dish whilst she was eating, got told off and Jodi never did it again. They were fed side by side and Jodi would politely wait until Tora had finished eating, then both dogs would swap bowls to see if the other had left anything, then swap back again just to make absolutely sure there wasn’t a scrap left.
Sorry, I rambled. Different breed again, but I should imagine poodles would be fairly similar to GR’s in this respect.

Indeed mine in their crates 99% of the time (that’s how I make sure they are happy in them) but if they are fed in the kitchen which they are occasionally they all do this. There is a lot of bowl swapping and zero upset.

There's quite a few DNA tests that are important. Check with laboratories that offer a Poodle bundle like the KC one or Laboklin. My Poodle is a carrier of DM for instance so clearly that matters yet I'd not heard of it being a known problem.

When I was looking into Poodles for someone it seems every other country recommends hip scoring bar the UK. Very strange why it's not common place here, surely if other countries are scoring all sizes of Poodles it should be something which UK breeders should be doing too?

Agree ALL breeds should be Hip Scored, even Wolves can have HD.

About the only breed that has virtually no HD is the Greyhound.

It is unyrue that all breeds don't have it, just the effects can be less noticeable due to lower weight.

I've wanted a Toy Poodle pup for ages.  I don't mind which sex.  However, all I can find are puppies costing thousands of pounds.  I just can't afford one.

Is that going on a waiting list from a good breeder?
