I am trying to help.someone research the necessary health tests that should be done  by a breeder prior to breeding a litter of.miniture poodles  This person is looking to purchase as an owner not prospective breeder btw and is only at the beginning of their research so not until later .next year I am pleased to say .
Kc only suggest a couple of basic ones . Other research suggests  pra ,hd  and von willibrands.  Then looking further the dna packages suggest a much longer list including dm and ocd
It's not a breed I know much about so any advice is welcome

PRA is essential, and I can tell you that I had my Mini Poodle DNA tested for everything at MyDogDNA and she is a carrier of DM so clearly that is something that does appear (she was clear of everything else). Then there's OCD and von Willebrand's. Patellas need to be checked. I'm absolutely no expert here but wanted to point out the importance of DM.

It does seem after a quick run through of breeders it will take a while to find someone who tests for all .
Fortunately time is definitely on their side

When I was looking in them for someone hip scoring came up for all 3 sizes

I would look for PRCD-pra, OCD, DM and VWD1 at least.

Thanks folks this is very helpful .from what I have found so far not many are doing all the  tests .pra is the only one that seems to be showing on cd anyway   Which isn't good imo
