I would not advise two dogs of the same age. If you really want two to keep each other company, why not consider an adult rescue, and once he is well settled a puppy to keep him company. this way the pup will respect the mature animal, and they are less likely to have hierachy issues when the pup grows up. qalso one pup is quite enough work for the next two years!! :)
