Hi
We are looking for our first family dog, I grew up with Vizlas in the house but this would be the first dog I would own myself. After research we have decided that a Cocker Spaniel would be a good fit for our family. Knowing that prices have increased due to Covid-19 should we continue to search now or wait? I have found a litter where the parents are health tested, KC registered (pups have been/will be, I’ve not seen the litter registered on the KC website list), raised in the home with children - ticking  all the boxes on paper although we haven’t viewed the litter yet. The only thing for us is the price. Do breeders think prices of £2000+ will continue for Cocker Spaniel puppies that are health tested and KC registered or should we wait to see if things settle? This is a large litter with only half the puppies sold at 7 weeks. I know that it isn’t right to offer a lower price for a pup and I’m guessing even now it’s not.
Thanks for taking the time to read and for any advice

Agree wait and be prepared for it to be many months
Things need to settle to see what good breeders are really going to charge for pups in the future when things have improved

Thank you. I've noticed quite a few litters aren't selling as quickly at the moment. Also just been told of several Springer Spaniel litters which have sold for about pre-covid prices near us in the last few weeks so maybe things are starting to change.

I think wait until corona is over and we have a vaccine. It might seem like ages away but really what's 6 months for the life time of a dog...

Thank you. We’re going to wait, the right breeder and pup will come along at the right time.
