Get her to the vet now, this could be the onset of mastitis which can be life threatening. Please tell me that 9 years old is a typo.

Yes, 9 years is far too old to be having puppies but too late now

If I can understand what you are saying - re her teats, have you clipped back the pointy tips of the puppies nails because they can scratch otherwise, and yes, that hurts mum although there's no reason for that area to be 'black and blue'. I don't understand floor boards or much of the rest of your question. Sorry. I'd not have the puppies outside just yet although for sure, mum should be able to have some time away from them, as long as she responds when they start yelling to be fed!

I wouldn't be taking them outside until they are around 4 weeks old and properly moving about, eyes open etc and can regulate their temperature a lot better.
Get your bitch to the vets, you need to make sure nothing is going on and please make sure you are clipping the pups nails back every week

at 2 weeks If she doesn't want to be with the pups don't force her but she should want to go in and feed them and has to go in and feed them. Time out is not a bad thing but for my concern is her back nipples and area, please get that checked out by the vets asap

If she has mastitis or the beginnings of yes it is very painful and needs urgent treatment before she becomes very
I get the barking like a banshee but what is.the floorboard bit ? Sounds like a squeeky floorboard ?
Get her to a good vet to be checked

Poor, poor bitch. I wonder how this could be viewed under the Animal Welfare Act.

No she is nine years old I have been to vet and they have told me if she is eating and drinking plenty she should be fine and as long as the puppies are getting feed and gaining weight then should be ok if any more concerns to call them
Just a wee update I have called the vet and they have told me with all the symptoms I have gave they are happy for me to wait till 8 week check up my dog has a 6 month check up every 6 months and she is fine and healthy to the post where animal well fair would say ( I can assure you my bitch is never been mistreated and she has never shown any signs of mistreatment my bitch is healthy and happy if you wish to have a comment like that then please post else were I was asking a simple question not for a person to leave a comment of nastyness I have done everything a normal breeder would do and more but I am new to this and I would a little advice not critisum thank you
I mean as soon as someone walks through the house and the floor boards squeak she is yelping like a banchee

Did the vet examine her, check her teats and her temperature? Why on earth would you expect a dog of 9 to carry, whelp and rear a litter? My heart breaks for her.

It’s certainly not nastiness! It’s concern for your girl! I’m currently in the throes of health testing a (only just) three year old and am wondering whether I have left it too late for a first litter (for both of us) as her next season is likely to be January! As I’ve said before I couldn’t bear something going wrong.

What was the vets explanation for her black and blue teats ? He needs to see her or at the very least a video conference call where he can see her Doesn't sound right

A “normal breeder” would not take a litter from a geriatric bitch.
I can assure you it came as a shock to me also we were under the impression when the vet done all he checks that she would be unlikely to birth a litter due to her age and my other dog was ment to go for a op to stop him from being able to give a litter but due to the current covid situation it was canceled my dogs wer seperated for a whole month or so I thought when they latched on once and once only I was so scared I took my bitch to the vet the next day and was told she would be unlikely to be preggers and not to worry 5 weeks later she started getting fat around her belly so she was again taken to vets for a exam no scan was done just check over and was told to keep a eye for the next few weeks and check her tummy for movement if any and to come back if I am concerned I there for paid extra for a private scan witch did not take place due to lady going into labor the night before the scan and gave birth to 2 gorgeous pups they have been vet checked so has mother and all are doing fine spoke to them about the brousing and they did advice clipping nails witch I have done twice the brousing seems to be going away now and the teets are looking fine and healthy according to vets they have told me lady is one strong dog and she is doing so well and she is very upbeat and that the barking might be away of her saying be quite she and pups are sleeping

Shame the vet didn't suggest using something like alzin to stop any pregnancy continuing . It would have been better than putting a dog of her ahe through a pregnancy and then u subsequently having to find homes for pups.
Hopefully u are now able to have either or both your dogs neutered to prevent this happening again

I hope things go well from here for you both.

Your first post didn't say this was an accidental mating & I am sorry to say that right from the beginning, your vets don't seem to be doing the right thing for your bitch.
Firstly to say she would be unlikely to be in whelp, just goes to show how little they know regarding breeding, they should have advised you to have alazin injection mainly because of her age, you don't mention what breed the sire of the puppies are but this could also have had an influence . Then not to scan to say either way is wrong & finally not to even look at her, either physically or via video with your concern over her teats, is also very wrong. Oh and the statement they have made, regarding her barking is the last straw!!
I certainly would be looking for a new vet, with more care & consideration in your dogs.
All is well had vets today puppies and mummy are doing fine full vet check and been told that lady is accually looking great her teets are fine the vets have said due to the pups feeding there nails are digging in so they have chopped them right down as far as the can go and pups are healthy eyes are great ears are clean and feeding amazing lady has one tooth that needs to be taken out due to it being overgrown but I knew this before she had the pups abdominal area is nice and soft and no obvious signs of discomfort the barking is normal in some dogs as the may just be looking for some attention thank you all for your comments and I will keep u posted of the progress of puppies
if you wish to have a comment like that then please post else were I was asking a simple question not for a person to leave a comment of nastyness I have done everything a normal breeder would do and more but I am new to this and I would a little advice not critisum thank you
A normal breeder would not keep an entire dog & bitch in the same room unattended for 1 second let alone enough time for a mating to take place with a 9 year old bitch.
A normal breeder would take steps to prevent their bitch being mated or possibly develop Pyrometa by having her spayed long before her 9th birthday.
Are both your dogs the same breed ? Most surprised your vet thought it OK for a nine year old bitch to have a litter, a good vet would have offered Alizin injections or a gravid spay to prevent seriously risking your bitch's health & life
