Hi. I have a 10 month old border collie and I would really like to get another dog. Does anyone have any ideas of what breed would be the best to get. I would like another border but would welcome other ideas too.Also would it be better to get a male or a female? And what do you think would be the best age for Jim to be before I get the other dog? Jim is full of energy and alot of fun and I think he'd love a companion. This has always been my intention to get two, Im not just wanting a cute puppy because Jim's grown up a bit(he's actually 10xs as cute now). I have looked at the archives but still feel none the wiser.

I have 4 collies (1 purebred, 3 x's)

It seems to me that they're quite a dominant breed.....

I wonder if maybe a less dominant breed would be better to keep with BC's? I have GSD's also, and they're quite dominant, so they're not great to have together.
