Hi everyone,

My friend is looking for a nice Smooth Coat Chihuahua puppy and I said I would help her with the minefield of searching. I'm not overly up on Chihuahua's and have been looking for all the relevant health tests that they need. All I can seem to find is patella testing and eye testing. Are there no genetic diseases that need to be tested for with Chihuahua's?

Also any recommendations for good breeders? I've done all the usual searches on here and the KC website (can't wait till they change that it's so horrendous to use!) so personal recommendations would be great if anyone has any. JeanSW maybe? My friend is based in Shropshire but absolutely willing to travel anywhere and also wait for the right pup.
