I have some Panacur 18.75% paste syringes and a 7.8kg puppy who is 12wks to worm.

This should be rounded up, so it’s 8 syringe graduations - but then there is this sentence in the dosing sheet which says:

“Additional syringes are required for puppies under 6 months of age weighing over 6kg. For puppies weighing over 6kg, an extra syringe graduation is required daily for each additional 1kg of bodyweight.”

So am I right that I should be giving 10 syringe graduations/day? Because she is 2kg over 6kg? So 8+2?

I usually use Drontal Puppy with pups this age and size but I had these syringes left over from our last litter so thought I may as well use them...

Sounded right to me, but I didn't comment because I didn't know for sure having never used the paste. The good thing about panacur though is it's almost impossible to overdose on it

I have used the paste but it was 4 years ago & not at that age or weight...sure it will be fine, as long as the paste is in date

Great thanks, yes it's in date until December. I way over-ordered when we had a litter so at least I get to use some of it up now...
