I am looking for a small puppy and have narrowed it down to either a cocker spaniel or a minature schnauzer. I have heard mixed reports about leaving cockers on their own during the day? I know that Schauzers are not as hard to handle as a cocker but I don't want to miss out on a cocker if the norm are ok. Any advise?

How long are you planning to leave your dog for? Any breed will be troublesome if left too long, they get bored. Cockers are fine as long as they are not left on their own for too long - like most dogs. They can be vocal but so can MS.
