I have read and seen a few posts on Facebook regarding ICT in Golden Retrievers, a few negatives and positives.

I for one have never had any issues with my bitch as she is affected - but I am seeing a lot of breeders not having this test carried out and still breeding from the bitches or using stud dogs, so how can they judge other breeders when they haven't carried out the tests themselves and still used their bitch/dog to produce litters.

Has anyone else had any issues with ICT ?

I have never had an issue with ICT but have read lots of posts about how it affects some dogs.  Although some breeders don't see it as a major issue I believe it is now sensible for dogs to be tested - especially popular studs.

I have seen litters from an effected parent which IF they have been mated to a clear dog will be carriers at worst.
