I am looking to buy a pedigree minature Dachshund but wonder if my observations are correct.
As Dachshunds are pre disposed to IVDD an over long back should not be encouraged. Looking at some of the photos of some breeders stock they appear to have longer backs than some 'pet' adults. Is this a 'fashion' or is there a desired height to length ratio please (The KC standard is quite vague)?
