I have been teaching my puppy to 'trade" ie. when he has something in his mouth that he shouldnt have if he gives it to me he gets a treat.  Now he spends most of the day searching the garden for stones, snail shells bit of twig etc to bring to me for his treat! Little monkey.

Hahaha.   Frankie would so this with the windfall apples, proudly marching in and dropping them on his bed and looking at me for his trade-off.  That's not going to happen this year ...

That's brilliant, clever boy.

I had a similar problem a few years ago. I used to have a spider phobia, and I thought I was being ever so clever encouraging one of my dogs to catch and eat them. Until one day I was washing dishes at the sink and she nudged my leg with her nose, I looked down at her wondering what she wanted and she spat a live spider out at my feet. Much screaming and jumping around by me while she happily picked it up again and ate it so I could tell her what a Good Girl she was!

I taught mine to do this when he kept ripping up and eating tissues. Now I get all sorts brought, he also goes in the office bin to pick out bits of paper if he cant find anything laying around:lol:

Its funny how they all love tissues.  I remember years ago when a friend came to visit, she put her handbag down at the side of her and one of mine promptly stole the tissues out of it. Lol

My GR is the same. She also sneaks paper napkins off your lap at meal times. The number of times we’ve peered under the pub table as we start to leave and find a pile of neatly shredded paper napkins

Mine has perfected the art of pick pocketing. I dont know how he does it but if he smells a tissue in your trouser pocket you dont know hes even got it until its shredded all over the floor:lol: Then there was the time he rolled out a whole kitchen towel roll down the stairs and shredded that. Bless him:evil:
