Hi All
We have booked our first holiday for 15 years..(won't leave dogs...!) and are going to a Forestry Commission Site called Deer Park in Cornwall.
Has anyone been there, and if so, what's it like, and any tips before we go?
The accomodation is in wooded A-frame cabins, and we have hired a ground floor access cabin, as one of the dogs is old, 13, and the other 2 are 1 year and 5 months (All Cavaliers.)
It's a long way from home, about 140 miles, so we plan to have a stop every hour to let the dogs stretch their legs etc.
I have got details of the nearest vet, with directions from the site, just in case.....and it is starting to feel like a full scale expedition already!
Any seasoned self-caterers with dogs out there?

Hi Thanks Sam.
Not sure what sort of info you were looking for but I often well, sometimes, use Landmark trust properties, I just pack his bowl and dry food etc and get on with it when I get there, just a lead walk on motorway service areas is fine, but my dog is used to car journeys and different envioronments so he just doesn't care.
Good heavens they are really cheap, such good value for money, thanks.

I guess it goes without saying that you will have to be very very careful about your dogs rioting on deer!!! Having worked in many forestry commission woods in Cornwall....they are teaming with red and roe deer so please BEWARE!
