I enquired about a Cocker Spaniel puppy today. The owner told me that there had originally been 4 puppies but 2 had died after a few days. The other two are thriving. Would you still buy from this litter?

FPS -Fading Puppy Syndrom?   As long as the breeder is happy to sell the surviving puppies, I'd not necessarily be put off.   I'd want a health certificate from their vet, and take the puppy to my own vet within the first 48 hours for a check

For sure, there is nothing wrong with the remaining puppies.  If there is more than one pup left, they will have siblings and littermates to learn about interactions with others as well...

I'd take the fact that the breeder is honest about the litter as a good sign as well.
