I have 9half week old yorkie she had her first set vaccines yesterday and with in 12 hours she started to react to them shes shaking her head side to side as if her ears or itchy shes scratching she seems very irritated whimpers a lot shes breathing heavy AND MY VETS HAVE SAID SHE WILL BE OK UNTILL TOMORROW MORNING ive been on the phone to them 5/6 times today but because shes eating and drinking they think she'll be fine.... I'm so scared we lost of yorkie girl and her daughter only 8 months ago we found it hard to get another but we finally did now this happings ive gave her 1/4 of active charcoal tablet but can't see it doing much I'm in right mess worrying about her ive not slept last night much any help would be grateful I won't give her piriton bcz shes only 2lb 6oz

If u are really concerned about her tonight I would contact out of hours and ask for her to be seen especially if your vet hasn't seen her since this started.
Otherwise I would get an emergency appointment tomorrow if things havnt settled.
How is your pup today?
I would really suggest not giving the Lepto vaccines - or at least, not giving them at the same time as the other jabs. They are responsible for more side effects and problems than any other component of the jab. (Look on Facebook for the group called Nobivac Lepto 4 for more info.) The problem with giving DHPP1, L4 and often kennel cough even, all at the same time, means that when there is a reaction, how do we report it? Which component is responsible for it??
Best just to give DHP (which really is all a dog needs) and then wait a month and if you really really really want to give lepto, then give it separately after the core DHP vaccines are done. Much less burden on the dog's immune system that way too.
Hi I did contact out of hours vet I was advised to give her 1ml of piriton witch I had she was a diffrent pup within 10 mins playing with my other dog no itching or scratching shes still sleepy but eats drinks wees poops and plays in still keeping close eye on her....
But jollyes where I took her for her first injection has said they don't want to give her the second one as it is the brand that's caused the reaction they use VANGAUR 7 and I personally think they don't want to take responsibility for her if anything happened bcz I did say shes small only just over 9 weeks will she be ok and he said yes also I did get them told after she had the reaction bcz she started to itch cry try to jump out my arms bcz she was restless but he said shes fine just itchy where I put it in I think they new she was to little and they didn't even weigh her first but hopefully and I'm praying she has no ling term effects shes fine atm
I don't no much about dog vaccines but I was told she had the VANGAURD 7 (CPV-l & DA2P ) I think it's the brand the shot name but the shots shes had I think or distemper parvovirus parainfluenza and hepatitis I don't need the rabies or kennel couch.
I personally think it's terrible if they no there's a chance it can give side effect they should give you the choice don't get me wrong I got my Tibetan spaniel done at same place with no side effect so I think it's to do with the weight and size my boy was 2kg 4lb but my girl is only 1.2 think it's 2lb 6oz that's half the size I'm just praying and hoping she doesn't have long term side effect. Jollyes have refused to give second shot (to tell you true I wouldn't of took her for second without 100% she'll be ok) but I'm getting full refund not that it makes me feel any better and I'm ringing pdsa for advice on Monday on what to do next can't go through that again and wouldn't want to put her through it even if they say she'll be ok my poor girl was so flighty running around like scary running and jumping in only hoping it was a itchy reaction and that's it
